Responsibilities of a Supervisor: - Oversee daily retail operations of the garden centre, ensuring high standards of customer service and product presentation.
- Supervise and support staff, providing training and guidance to enhance team performance.
- Manage inventory levels and assist with stock ordering and merchandising.
- Engage with customers to provide expert advice and recommendations on plants, gardening supplies, and services.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Experience and background: - Previous experience in a supervisory role, preferably within a retail or garden centre environment.
- Strong knowledge of plants and gardening practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage a team effectively.
