Garden Maintenance & Aftercare Gardener

Madisons Recruitment are recruiting for an Aftercare Gardener on a permanent basis for a client of ours located in London.

We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Aftercare Gardener where you will be responsible for maintaining our beautifully designed gardens, ensuring they thrive year-round. As a key member of our aftercare team, you will travel between sites using a company-provided cargo bike, making this a sustainable and rewarding role.

This role is perfect for someone that has a passion for Landscaping and health and fitness. 

Responsibilitie

• Provide expert horticultural care, including planting, pruning, weeding, feeding, and pest/disease management.
• Carry out seasonal maintenance and ensure gardens remain at their peak throughout the year.
• Assess plant health and implement appropriate care strategies.
• Engage with clients in a professional and friendly manner, offering advice on plant care and garden upkeep.
• Safely transport tools and materials using a cargo bike to various locations across London.
• Maintain accurate records of plant care schedules and completed tasks.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and recommend enhancements to garden designs.
• Work collaboratively with the landscaping and design teams to uphold the company's high standards.

Requirements

• Physically fit and comfortable cycling around London with a cargo bike (Essential) 
• Experience in garden maintenance 
• Strong plant knowledge, including identification, care, and maintenance techniques.
• Previous experience in high-end garden maintenance is highly desirable.
• Passion for sustainability and eco-friendly garden practices.
• Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A valid driving licence is a plus but not essential.
