Gardener - Newry

Gardener required for an immediate start working with Newry, Mourne and Down District Council. This is a temporary post initially for 3 months. The hours of work are 8am-4:30pm working 5 days out of 7 in the week so the successful candidate must be flexible in working weekends and bank and public holidays. The pay rate is £12.59 per hour for Monday to Friday, £18.89 per hour on a Saturday and £25.18 per hour on a Sunday. The main duties will include maintaining Council parks, gardens and open spaces, patrolling designated areas, horticultural duties, driving and responsibility for allocated vehicles, operating machinery and tools, interacting with members of the public.
