GCP Network Architect

Contract Duration: 12 monthsLocation: London, UKKey Responsibilities:Design and implement network solutions that leverage Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, including Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), Cloud Interconnect, Cloud VPN, Cloud DNS, and Traffic Director.Configure and manage Google Interconnect, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, firewalls, and load balancing.Develop and maintain hybrid and multi-cloud networking setups and strategies to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance.Implement and manage firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and other cloud-native security services to protect the network infrastructure.Utilize network monitoring and management tools within GCP to ensure network reliability, performance, and security.Automate network processes and workflows using scripting languages and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Python and Terraform.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define network requirements, develop technical solutions, and troubleshoot network issues.Stay up-to-date with the latest networking technologies, best practices, and industry trends to continuously improve our network architecture.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Proven experience as a Network Architect or similar role.In-depth knowledge of networking protocols and services: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, firewalls, and load balancing.Expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services: VPC, Cloud Interconnect, Cloud VPN, Cloud DNS, and Traffic Director.Strong understanding of network security principles and technologies, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and cloud-native security services.Familiarity with network monitoring and management tools within GCP.Proficiency in scripting and automation with Python, Terraform, or other relevant languages and IaC tools.Experience with hybrid and multi-cloud networking setups and strategies.Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong communication skills and the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Preferred Qualifications:Relevant certifications such as Google Professional Cloud Network Engineer, Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), or similar.Experience with other cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
