General Adult & Rehab Consultant Psychiatrist

We have an excellent permanent job opportunity for a General Adult & Rehab Consultant to work for a private service based in Hampshire.

We are looking for highly motivated individual who is dedicated to provide high quality clinical care for patients referred to and using the services of the hospital. Consultant who works closely with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure that clients receive a holistic and person-centric care and treatment programme based on the recovery model. The post-holder will hold a CCST / CCT (or equivalent) in General Adult or Forensics and will have experience of working in inpatient settings with people with significant mental health difficulties.

Salary: £90,000 per annum

Position: General Adult & Rehab Consultant

Hours: Part time - 3 days per week

Setting: 14 beds (treatment arm of the service)

Location: Hampshire

For this role, we're looking for someone who is:

• You will fulfil the role of Responsible Clinician to patients
• You must hold a CCST/CCT or equivalent in the relevant areas of psychiatry and have experience of working in inpatient settings with people with significant mental health difficulties
• Valid GMC registration
• Evidence of post registration continuing professional development
• A positive attitude and commitment to change, improvement and quality
• Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills
• Excellent knowledge of the Mental Health Act and Code of Practice
• The post-holder will participate in a 1 in 8 weeks currently with additional on call payments
