About the role:My client is looking for a motivated and proactive General Manager to join their team at a vibrant dining establishment in London. The restaurant is a cutting-edge dining destination located in the heart of London. With a focus on creativity, quality ingredients, and impeccable service, they offer a unique culinary experience that delights their guests. The venue features a 42-cover dining area and an 18-seater bar, providing an intimate and inviting atmosphere for guests to enjoy the innovative cuisine and handcrafted cocktails.Key Responsibilities:Oversee the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, including front-of-house, back-of-house, and bar areas, to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery.Lead and motivate a team of hospitality professionals, providing guidance, support, and training as needed to maintain high standards of service and hospitality.Develop and implement strategies to drive revenue growth and achieve financial targets, including managing costs, optimizing pricing, and maximizing sales opportunities.Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track performance and identify areas for improvement, implementing solutions to enhance operational efficiency and guest satisfaction.Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting open communication, teamwork, and a culture of continuous improvement.Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure quality products and services are delivered to the restaurant.Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to inform strategic decision-making and maintain a competitive edge.Requirements:Previous experience as a General Manager in an independent restaurant group, with a proven track record of success in driving operational excellence and financial performance.Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team of hospitality professionals.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with guests, staff, and stakeholders.Solid understanding of restaurant operations, including front-of-house and back-of-house functions, as well as bar management.Exceptional problem-solving abilities, with a proactive and solutions-focused approach to addressing challenges and seizing opportunities.Results-oriented mindset, with a drive to exceed expectations and achieve ambitious goals.Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
