Job Description

Majorly backed Manufacturer in Derbyshire are currently looking for a General Manager to lead the business. With the business in a strong place & supplying into a number of different manufacturing sectors you will be responsible for the continuing improvement of the business whilst managing direct reports in Operations, Logistics, Sales, Engineering, HSE & Finance. You will have full P&L responsibility. Reporting into the Directors; the General Manager will be a strong communicator and will be a key advocate for Engagement with internal stakeholders, the workforce & any external stakeholders. You will be a key ambassador for Quality, Health & safety, Your People, Cost & Delivery. You will be a key part of driving cultural change on site. Role: General Manager Salary: up to 80,000 (depending on experience) + car allowance + bonus + benefits Location: Derbyshire Key Responsibilities for the General Manager:Ensuring that all areas of the business are delivering on time & on budgetDriving Health & Safety and working with HSE to develop a strong culture on siteProviding overall direction in terms of cost effective operations & planningAssuring the continuing Quality of productsImproving the performance of all of your direct reports as strong communication with themEnsuring that Sales & Customer Services are delivering the best experience for the customerKey Requirements for the General Manager:Tangible record of Success in an Senior Management role in a Manufacturing environmentQualification in Engineering (Degree, HNC, HND) ideally Demonstrating a history achieving profit and business growth through effective planning, cost control & full P&L LeadershipStrong communication skills is key; forging strong relationship with the headcount at the businessThis is a great chance for the right General Manager to help a massively backed business to continue its journey of success.
