Are you a food led General Manager, with a flair for looking after the locals, an eye for standards and a sales driven edge!
The Lobster Smack, Canvey Island is a classic British pub with a rich history, operating over two floors both with bars, the first floor is used primarily for private functions and events. The business also boasts a large garden with over 100 seated covers and a fully equipped outside bar, making it a popular spot during the warmer summer months.
We're looking for a General Manager who is experienced running a food led business where being the face of the business is just as important as the quality of the food and drink, we serve. With the business benefitting from a strong local wet trade to, you will be as comfortable dealing with diners as you are having the craic with the locals and getting involved with community led initiatives.
The function space is underutilised, with bags of potential. So, if you have proven experience with driving functions and events - it would be beneficial, but not essential.
Finally, as a General Manager, you must exhibit great leadership skills and the ability to build a high-performing team to control, develop, and improve all aspects of the business, including sales, P&L, personnel, standards, legal compliance, service, and brand integrity.
