Key aspects of the role
Based at Heathrow Airport, the General Manager will report directly to the Board of Directors and lead a Management Team. The team onsite comprises approximately 30 staff representing quality control, maintenance and projects, business & administration and HSSE & compliance. Additionally, the General Manager will coordinate input from various external advisers and support organisations, overseeing multiple external contracts.

Experienced required
Experience working within the liquid fuels supply chain (aviation or ground-based) and/or managing a joint venture would be highly advantageous.
Demonstrable track record of delivering high standards of performance (HSSE, operational integrity, quality) in a techno-commercial environment. A role model for safety and compliance.
Experience in establishing business strategy and priorities by working with stakeholders and translating this into business plans with clear accountability, processes, and resource/competence profiles for delivery.
Strong financial management capabilities with the ability to act on the P&L and Balance Sheet to ensure ongoing financial viability.
Demonstrable track record of end-to-end project management oversight, including supply chain, financial management, and quality of delivery.
Effective performance in a high-profile industrial environment subject to oversight by regulatory bodies, auditors, and other stakeholders.
A self-starter who thrives in hands-on entrepreneurial environments, able to navigate a relatively lean support system and establish rigor.
Intellectual bandwidth, the ability to think strategically, and make incisive decisions.
An assured communicator who can concisely articulate messages (internally and externally), perspectives, and ideas, with proven stakeholder management experience.
