What you'll be doing
As a General Operative, you will join our large works team, assisting in the delivery of property maintenance responsive repairs both internally and externally for our customers, working with a variety of skilled trades.
Your main duties will be collecting and delivering stock and waste to and from sites, some work may involve climbing scaffolding and ladders, this will require an element of fitness, and may involve working through all weather conditions.
Youll be based in Bath, however youll be travelling around Bristol, Bath and surrounding areas
About the team
The larger works team are responsible for specialist repairs, which take anything from 2 hours to 2 days to complete each job. They are a highly motivated, sociable, hardworking, conscientious team, who are customer driven, and committed to providing a 1st time fix.
More about you
The successful General Operative will ideally have some basic trade competency, with experience of delivering high quality and timely works to domestic dwellings. Previous experience of a customer facing role will also be an advantage.
You will also have the aptitude to work with mobile technology and demonstrate a commitment to delivering first class customer service.
You will need to have a full manual driving license as you will be allocated your own van. (Please confirm this on your application and/or accompanied CV).
There will be a drivers assessment to complete as part of the recruitment process.
We require our trades colleagues to have the aptitude to work with mobile technology (training will be provided) and demonstrate a commitment to delivering first class customer service, ensuring repairs are carried out to a high standard and, whenever possible, resolved during the first visit.
We will need to take up a Disclosure and Barring Check for this role which we will do for you when you start.
