We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced General Manager to lead the opening of our brand-new furniture store in Edinburgh. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in establishing and growing a new retail location, driving exceptional customer experiences, and leading a dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all aspects of store operations, ensuring a smooth and successful launch
Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing team dedicated to excellence
Develop and implement strategies to achieve sales targets and profitability
Ensure an outstanding customer experience by maintaining high standards of service and presentation
Manage inventory, merchandising, and store layout to maximize sales and customer satisfaction
Analyze sales data and market trends to make informed business decisions
Foster a positive and motivating work environment, promoting teamwork and professional development
Maintain compliance with company policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations
Qualifications:
Proven experience in retail management, preferably in the furniture or home goods industry
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing demands
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Customer-focused with a passion for delivering exceptional service
Proficiency in inventory management and retail software systems
