Job Description:

We are seeking enthusiastic and adaptable Supply Teaching Assistants to join our team, providing valuable support to schools across the Selby area. As a Supply Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the learning and development of students across a range of year groups. Working closely with classroom teachers and other support staff, you'll help create a positive and inclusive learning environment, ensuring all pupils have the opportunity to thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Classroom Support: Assist teachers in the delivery of lessons, supporting students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning and understanding.
  • Individualized Support: Provide tailored support to students with additional needs, ensuring they can fully participate and progress in their studies.
  • Behaviour Management: Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere, promoting good behaviour and engagement among students.
  • Resource Preparation: Assist with the preparation and organization of learning materials to support lesson delivery.
  • Adaptability: Be willing to support in various year groups and subjects, adjusting to the unique needs of each class.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is preferred, but not essential.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification) are advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
  • Adaptable and reliable, with the flexibility to work in different schools and adapt to varying classroom environments.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding practices and a commitment to student welfare.
