We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Geography Teachers to join Career Teachers, working in secondary schools based around Sheffield and South Yorkshire. As a qualified teacher (QTS / PGCE) you'll have the expertise to engage students from year 7 to 11, preparing them for their GCSE's. We have start dates from September within both long-term and short-term roles.

Requirements:

  • QTS, PGCE or equivalent qualification.
  • Relevant experience as a Geography Teacher within the key stage 3 & 4 levels or an ECT.
  • Flexible, committed, motivational and passionate about teaching.
  • A current DBS on the Update Service or is willing to complete a new one.
  • Able to easily commute to Sheffield, South Yorkshire.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and comprehensive Geography lessons to students.
  • Cover diverse topics and themes across the curriculum.
  • Create engaging lesson plans tailored to different learning styles and abilities.
  • Create a supporting and inclusive learning environment to allow students to thrive.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the Geography curriculum.
  • Maintain classroom standards in line with current school policies.
  • Cover a range of other subjects where required.

Salary & working hours

Daily rates of pay vary dependent on experience between £120 to £180.

This is a flexible role with both full-time and part-time positions available - meaning, you have full control of when you are looking to work and how many hours you want to complete.

All quoted rates are inclusive of 12.07% holiday pay.
