Geography Teacher

Duties of a Geography Teacher:

• Plan and deliver engaging Geography lessons in line with the national curriculum.
\n
• Teach students about physical and human geography, environmental issues, and global challenges.
\n
• Encourage critical thinking and enquiry-based learning.
\n
• Assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback.
\n
• Inspire students through fieldwork, projects, and extracurricular activities.
\n
• Use a variety of teaching strategies to meet the needs of all learners.
\n
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning strategies.
\n
• Promote a love for Geography and an awareness of sustainability and global citizenship.
\n

Ideal Geography Teacher:

\n
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
\n
• A degree in Geography, Education, or a related subject
\n
• Experience teaching Geography at secondary level (preferred but not essential)
\n
• Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for Geography
\n
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
\n
• A commitment to inspiring and engaging students
\n
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
