The ideal candidate will have a well-rounded security background in:Security Information and Event Monitoring (SIEM) technologies, DLP, Vulnerability Scanning, experience of engineering and administering end point security applications including full disk encryptionHIDS, NAC, cloud-based storage, mobile technologies & IDS/IPSThe candidate will have contact with internal stakeholders, other information technology (IT) professionals, and vendors so is required to identify, research, analyse, and resolve complex issues and problems.The Global Platform Engineer will also contribute with design, implementation, configuration, integration, and maintenance with project related solutions.Responsibilities Under the direction of the Digital Workplace Manager and Operations & Infrastructure Manager the Global Platform Engineer’s primary responsibilities includes:Design, deployment, support and remediation of Information Security toolsNGFW Threat Management (IPS, Web Filtering, Anti-Malware)Endpoint and Identity / Access Management (IAM) technologies & virtual desktops on-prem & cloud.Required Specialist/Technical Knowledge:Designing and managing Citrix applicationsStrong technical knowledge of virtualization solutions (Virtual Apps, Virtual desktop, PVS, AppSense, NetScaler, FSlogix, VMware (vSphere) and Cloud Gateway.Manage multiple XenApp / XenDesktop images through monthly image updates.Strong/Advanced troubleshooting capabilities.Knowledge of Windows 365 and AWSKnowledge of Microsoft server operating systems and environmentsProcess automation: ability to use advanced scripting language, i.e., PowerShell.System monitoring; Splunk, Datadog and ControlUp preferredKnowledge of IP network design and principles, Windows OS, Intel-based hardware configurations and components for workstations and servers; security best practices; MS Active Directory; Storage Area Network technologies; system monitoring and event analysis; virtualization concepts and technologies; Group PolicyCompetencies:Analysis: Identify and understand issues, problems and opportunities; compare data from different sources to draw conclusions.Communication: Clearly convey information and ideas through a variety of media to individuals or groups in a manner that engages the audience and helps them understand and retain the message.Exercising Judgment and Decision Making: Use effective approaches for choosing a course of action or developing appropriate solutions; recommend or take action that is consistent with available facts, constraints and probable consequences.Technical and Professional Knowledge: Demonstrate a satisfactory level of technical and professional skill or knowledge in position-related areas; remains current with developments and trends in areas of expertise.Building Effective Relationships: Develop and use collaborative relationships to facilitate the accomplishment of work goals.Client Focus: Make internal and external clients and their needs a primary focus of actions; develop and sustain productive client relationships.Benefits 25-days of annual leave + bank holidays + holiday increases each year, to a max of 30Established hybrid working policy and openness to flexible workingGenerous pension contributionsPrivate medical healthcareDiscounted Gym MembershipLife, Dental & Travel insuranceRaymond James is an equal opportunities employer and welcomes applications from a diverse background At Raymond James we honour, value and respect the uniqueness, experiences, and backgrounds of all our Associates.
