The ideal candidates will work with a high degree of independence as well as in teams.You will receive:Access to a wealth of planning and personal development resources and opportunitiesSupport throughout your career; you will be assigned a mentor to ensure your professionaldevelopment is achievedThe company has a significant focus on Continuous Professional Development (CPD) and will aid in achieving chartered status of relevant body.Duties:Support the growing ecology team on a wide variety of projectsAiding with and undertaking ecological surveys including: -Phase 1 / Fossitt habitat survey and IVCs -Protected species surveys -Bat surveysCompiling survey results into comprehensive reports for planningLiaising with clients and statutory consulteesAttending client and site meetingsUndertaking ECoW role where requiredHelping with tender and Fee Proposal productionEssential Criteria:Honours degree in Biology, Ecology, Zoology, Environmental Sciences or any other relevant subject within this disciplineA passion for ecologyWorking towards, if not already, CIEEM membership (or equivalent), with a desire to work towards chartered status.Enthusiastic and ambitiousWillingness and ability to work independently and in a growing team environmentFull driving licenseInterest in Renewable EnergyOwn transport (or willing to source it once in the role)Desirable CriteriaExperience using Geographical Information Systems (GIS) software would be highly advantageous.Experience in ecological and protected species surveys, or other technical reports which demonstrate strong scientific writing abilities would be highly advantageous.Knowledge of the practical application of UK/Ireland wildlife legislation, planning policy and Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA).No Agencies Please
