Graduate Landscape Architect

Sheffield or Manchester

Working with a long term client who are a growing multi-disciplinary environmental consultancy, we are seeking motivated and enthusiastic Graduate Landscape Architects to work alongside experienced landscape architects and contribute to the delivery of a variety of landscape design and planning projects. These roles offer excellent opportunities to develop your skills, work on exciting projects, and progress your career in landscape architecture.

We would ideally look for one in Manchester and one in the Sheffield area.

Your role would include: reporting on a day-to-day basis to the senior and/or associate landscape architects; working with other members of the landscape team as well as with other environmental specialists within the company. We will consider applicants looking for post degree year out experience.

You will provide specialist consultancy support for landscape design, landscape management and landscape planning. You will operate nationally, producing high quality landscape and visual assessment and landscape design outputs for a number of sectors including Waste, Minerals, Land and Property Development, Infrastructure Development, Energy and Utilities and Insurance Companies and will provide services including landscape planning and design, environmental co-ordination, landscape master planning, visualisation and interpretation procedures.

You will:


  • Have either bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture OR architecture;
  • OR an equivalent professional experience with a post graduate qualification in landscape or related discipline.
  • Hold a full driving licence which allows you to drive in the UK.

As a Graduate Landscape Architecture your brief will include;


  • Be enthusiastic about your profession and be proactive about learning new skills
  • Project support and design from initial sketch plans through to detailed planting schemes and construction detailing;
  • Production of graphics and presentation material for senior members and other consultancy teams on projects;
  • You will assist in the landscape design, planning and management, preparation of landscape and visual impact assessment (LVIA) documents;
  • Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, 3D Studio Max, and Sketch Up
  • You will be required to work on and support multiple projects running concurrently, from concept creation through to completion.
  • You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to use your technical knowledge to influence and consult stakeholders
  • You will need to combine the ability to develop big ideas with exceptional creative and technical execution.
  • You will need to be able to manage your own workload and time as well as being part of multi discipline teams.
  • Willing to travel and stay away from home when required
