Role: Graduate or Mid-level FPGA Engineer
Salary: �competitive
My client is looking for FPGA engineers at a graduate and mid-level to join their multidisciplinary team; this provides the opportunity to capitalise on your existing electronics and FPGA experience under the guidance of lead engineers.
The requirements are:
* A good degree (1st or 2.1 from a well-ranked university) in electronic engineering or similar
* Experience developing FPGA code in either VHDL or Verilog
* A good understanding of digital design principles
* Interest in working within a small design team, displaying a collaborative and confident approach to work
* Any experience with low level software design, using C / C++ would also be of interest.
The R&D team is small, friendly and well-supported; the successful graduate FPGA engineer will be a proactive problem solver with the ability to contribute design activities over the whole product.
Desirable skills:
* FPGA design using VHDL and Verilog or Verilog.Proficiency with both Xilinx (ISE and Vivado) and Altera tools and Quartus.
* Experience with ModelSim for simulation.
* Strong problem solving and debugging abilities.
* Experience working with video and audio
* Good understanding of software development especially low-level device drivers
* Board-level hardware design including high speed digital and radio frequency electronics
* An understanding of digital signal processing principles
