Clarus Education are here to help! We are currently working in partnership with a fantastic Westminster Secondary school searching for caring and driven individuals who are keen to spend time as a Graduate Teaching Assistant starting in September.
What is required of a Graduate Teaching Assistant?
All Teaching Assistants should be qualified and comfortable working with young children. Active listening skills, creativity and genuine enjoyment of children are all beneficial for this position. A successful Teaching Assistant will also have various prerequisite skills and qualifications which typically include:
Flexibility and openness to change
A caring and nurturing attitude towards children
Excellent verbal communication
The ability to remain calm under pressure
Sensitivity and understanding
The ability to work well with others
Customer service skills

Supporting children on a 1:1 and small group basis
Encouraging learning through play and investigation
Long Term & Full Time
September start
£80 - £100 per day
Located in the Borough of Westminster
What we are looking for?
A minimum level 3 qualification in a relevant subject
Be able to lead large group activities
Experience working with children
Committed individual
Have an animated personality
Do you have what it takes to be a successful Teaching Assistant within a thriving Westminster school?
We are dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expect all staff to share this commitment. You will have a safeguarding responsibility if appointed.
The successful candidate will be subject to enhanced clearance through the Disclosure and Barring Service and employment will be subject to references.
This post is not exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
