Empowering Learning are looking for a graduate teaching assistant to work within one of our partnered SEND schools in Nottingham. The role will be full time and hours of work will be 08:30-16:00
The main duties within this role will be:
- Working closely across age groups with pupils who require additional support
- Supporting children on a 1:1 basis with autism and challenging behaviour
- Liaising with senior management and the school SENDCO around progress
- Leading academic interventions with children working below age expected levels
- Supporting the class teacher with the delivery of lessons
The school are looking for someone who:
- Has spent time working in schools (placement or paid work is fine)
- Possesses good knowledge of the primary school curriculum
- Is willing to get involved in all aspects of school life
- Has good communication skills to liaise with staff and the pupils
- Can act as a positive role model for the children
