Graduate Teaching Assistant

Smart Teachers is looking for proactive and enthusiastic graduates to join our trainee teaching assistant programme. This programme is for people wanting to start a career in education with no previous experience needed, and can lead to schools supporting teacher training.

About the role

• The programme is comprised of a paid placement in a school and online training.
• You will be assigned a consultant to support you through the training and to answer any questions you might have.
• Successful completion of the programme is likely to lead to long term employment
• Once completed you will be qualified as a teaching assistant and will be able to work in primary schools across London with Smart Teachers

About the school

• Placement schools located across Acton/Ealing Broadway
• Schools have good transport links and many schools have parking available
• Schools may provide additional training for successful candidates, such as support Teacher Training

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Graduate Teaching Assistant you will:

• Two recent references
• Be willing to complete online training
• Have a ‘child workforce only’ DBS on the Update Service or willing to obtain one

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

• No experience in schools needed
