This construction company is a dynamic and growing small civil engineering and groundworks contractor specialising in delivering high-quality infrastructure projects.  Their expertise spans various sectors, including utilities, groundworks, and public works.  We pride ourselves on our commitment to excellence, safety and customer satisfaction.  



A minimum of 2 years’ experience in quantity surveying preferably within the civil engineering or construction sector.  Recent graduates or students with 12 months or less left (on day release) with relevant qualifications are encouraged to apply.



The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the commercial team in managing the financial aspects of their civil engineering projects.  This role offers a fantastic opportunity to develop skills and gain valuable experience in quantity surveying within a supportive and collaborative environment. 



Key Responsibilities




  1. Assist in the preparation of tender documents and quotations for submission to our customers.

  2. Place orders for the supply of labour, plant and materials

  3. Assist with the preparation of valuations of the work for payment and agree with client



Qualifications and Skills




  • HNC Construction and the Built Environment as a minimum.

  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with proficiency in MS Office particularly Excel

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with colleagues, clients and subcontractors

  • Attention to detail with the ability to work methodically and accurately under pressure.

  • Ability to identify issues, think critically and propose effective solutions.

  • A valid UK driving license is desirable as site visits will be required.
