Grid Connections Manager - Onshore Wind

We are looking for a Grid Connection Manager to support my client's upcoming onshore wind projects in the UK. The company is a recognised European IPP, where the candidate will be responsible for managing UK grid connection application processes from origination until commercial operational date. The person can be based remote and will work in collaboration with the local technical team in Northwest England and the Company headquarters in Europe.This company engages in M&A activities and greenfield development and has projects at various stages of development across the UK. The candidate will have the following responsibilities:Support to Identify new grid opportunities within TSOs and DNOs to complete and submit grid connection applications;Provide technical support to the team related to all grid elements during project progress;Responsible for grid connection applications from planning to submission;Engaging all electrical consultants and support internal budget process related to grid costs analysis;Engaging with DNOs and National Grid from submission until plant is fully commissioned;Working alongside existing origination team members, in particular with the UK & European GIS analysts and Business development project managers.RequirementsDegree in Electrical engineering or Power Engineering;Good experience of 3 years working with DNOs and/or National Grid or have relevant electrical knowledge from similar IPPs or renewable development companies;Knowledge and experience in creating Single Line DiagramsPlease apply for this role via LinkedIn or alternatively, you can send your CV to #####, or give me a call on +44 20739 525 376 for a chat.
