Grocery Senior Buyer

**Buyer (Groceries) Required** to join a leading UK Wholesaler to aid with large scale company growth. Our client turns over in excess of �66m per year and are looking to expand further for 2024 at their site based in Rochdale.

The company specialise specifically within the Retail and FMCG sector, working with some of the biggest industry leading brands, supplying goods to customers across the UK, bringing to market product categories that range from Crisps and Snacks, Household Goods and Toiletries to Groceries, Pet Care and Beer, Wines and Spirits.

Buyer (Groceries) Position Overview

• Manage a large portfolio of purchases
• Deliver on growth objectives and KPI's
• With guidance from the Senior Buyer, define category strategy, range, price and promotional strategy
• Develop and maintain Supplier and Manufacture relationships
• Leverage your network and connections to source the best deals
• Agree JBP's and marketing with Manufactures and Suppliers
• Proactively manage Supplier and Manufacture payment terms and payments
• Management orders, delivery and transport to maximise profitability

Buyer (Grooceries) Position Requirements

• Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in a similar role
• Previous experience working within the Retail/Wholesale FMCG industry - Highly Advantageous
• Experience working as a Grocery Buyer.

Buyer (Groceries) Position Remuneration

• Salary DOE- �45K - �50K
• Company Bonus Scheme of up to an additional �10K
• Hybrid / Flexible Working
• 08:30-17:00 Monday to Thursday / 08:30-16:00 on Fridays
• 25 Days Paid Holiday + Bank Holidays
• 1-day additional leave per 12 months of service up to 28 days
• Auto-enrolment Pension
