With an extensive project portfolio across residential, commercial, infrastructure, and industrial sectors, they specialise in water treatment, nuclear projects, MOD contracts, rail, highways, solar panel installations, and renewable energy projects.

About the Role:
They are seeking an experienced
Ground Investigation Project Manager to manage complex site investigation projects. This role blends office-based and home-based work, offering flexibility and a balanced work-life approach. Ideal for candidates who are looking to step away from site.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Project Management: Coordinate, manage, and deliver site investigation projects, ensuring alignment with industry standards and best practices.


  • Timely Delivery: Ensure projects meet deadlines and milestones consistently while staying within scope and budget.


  • Site Investigations: Oversee all technical requirements for site investigations, ensuring compliance with current standards.


  • Team & Resource Coordination: Assign staff and equipment to projects, ensuring personnel are certified, competent, and medically fit.


  • Cost Management: Regularly monitor project expenditures to optimise profitability, delivering within the cost parameters set.


  • Reporting: Prepare detailed factual reports and manage financial aspects, including submitting AFPs/invoices and following up on payments.


  • Health & Safety: Support health, safety, environmental, and quality (HSEQ) initiatives, participating in investigations related to accidents or incidents when needed.

Requirements:


  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of relevant construction experience, with a preference for site investigation projects.


  • Education: BSc in Earth Science, Geology, Geotechnics, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline (MSc is advantageous).


  • Professional Development: Chartered status (or working towards) is desirable.


  • Certifications: PTS Certification, SMSTS Qualification, and CSCS Management Qualification are highly desirable.


  • Project Knowledge: Strong understanding of project specifications and cost build-ups, ensuring successful project delivery within these parameters.


  • Leadership Skills: Experience in managing project teams and contributing technical expertise to the planning stages of new projects.
