Ground Maintenance Operative

Key Responsibilities:

• Ground Maintenance Operative: Perform regular mowing, hedge trimming, weeding, planting, and pruning to maintain a neat and aesthetically pleasing environment.
• Hardscape Upkeep: Clean and maintain paths, patios, driveways, and outdoor facilities to ensure safety and functionality.
• Litter and Waste Control: Collect and dispose of litter, leaves, and debris to maintain cleanliness and hygiene across the grounds.
• Equipment Handling: Operate and maintain tools, machinery, and equipment such as mowers, trimmers, and pressure washers, adhering to safety standards.
• Seasonal Tasks: Undertake seasonal duties, including gritting, snow clearance, and preparing grounds for varying weather conditions.
• General Repairs: Perform minor repairs to fences, gates, and other outdoor structures as needed.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in landscaping, public sector and government ground maintenance operative, or a related field is mandatory.
• Must be able to commute to Hounslow.
• Physical fitness and stamina to handle manual labour in various weather conditions.
• Ability to operate basic grounds maintenance tools and machinery.
• A proactive attitude with excellent time management and organisational skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• A valid driver's license is preferred but not essential to facilitate travel between sites.
