Pay: (£13.48 PAYE / £16.08 LTD Umbrella (Inclusive of Holiday Pay)
Service Care Solutions are recruiting for a Temporary Ground Maintenance Operative for their client in Leicestershire to join the Operational Highways team. This hands-on role involves maintaining environmental areas such as verges, hedges, and footpaths across Leicestershire.
Key Responsibilities:

\n
• Grass cutting, hedge trimming, and verge maintenance
\n
• Seasonal tasks including sign washing and edging back verges
\n
• Using plant machinery and power tools safely
\n
• Assisting in emergency response situations as part of a standby rota
\n
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
\n

What We’re Looking For:
Essential:

\n
• NVQ Level 2 in Highways Maintenance (or willingness to attain)
\n
• Valid driving licence
\n
• Experience in highways or civil engineering maintenance
\n
• Knowledge of safe working practices
\n

Desirable:

\n
• Large Goods Vehicle (LGV) licence & CPC qualification
\n
• Traffic Management knowledge (Chapter 8 regulations)
\n
• Ability to tow and manoeuvre trailers
\n

This is a physically active role requiring outdoor work in all weather conditions. You’ll be part of a supportive team, with opportunities to develop your skills and take on leadership responsibilities when required.
