Ground Worker

Vanta Staffing High Wycombe are looking for an Assistant Groundsperson for a local school. This will be an ongoing temporary role until further notice.
Monday to Friday
8am-5pm 40 hours a week
Lunch provided in school term time
GBP13.81 per hour
Duties of the Groundsperson:
To assist in the preparation and maintenance of the schools sports pitches, courts and lawns including line marking and mowing, and the erection and dismantling of sports equipment
To use and assist in the maintenance of the Grounds tools and equipment including ride-on mowers, tractors, strimmers, hedge cutters, and a wide variety of manual tools
To assist in general gardening and grounds maintenance duties including cultivation, digging, mulching, watering, raking, weeding, edging, pruning, bed preparation and planting
To assist in ensuring that the schools grounds are kept clean, tidy and a safe environment including clearance of litter, leaves and snow
To assist in keeping the Grounds Department areas are kept clean and tidy including the garage, equipment stores and greenhouses
To assist with other school tasks when required including traffic and car parking duties on certain occasions, and moving chairs, benches and any other items required for major occasions.
To observe safe working practices at all times, comply with the schools health and safety requirements and report any faulty equipment or hazards to the Head Groundsperson without delay
To wear the required uniform and to keep it clean and maintain high standards of personal hygiene
Requirements of the Groundsperson:
Must have experience in a similar role, be fit and able to carry out all tasks required.
