Job Overview:

Our social housing client is seeking a full-time, permanent Grounds Maintenance Supervisor to lead a team delivering high-quality gardening and grounds maintenance services across London. This role is site-based, meaning you'll be working in various outdoor residential and public spaces throughout the city. You must be prepared to drive to any assigned site and make your own way home after completing the day's work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership: Supervise and motivate a team of gardeners and grounds maintenance operatives to deliver high standards of service.


• Grounds Maintenance: Oversee grass cutting, hedge trimming, and general gardening tasks using petrol mowers, strimmers, and other equipment.


• Health and Safety: Ensure all work is performed in compliance with health and safety regulations.


• Staff Engagement: Engage and motivate staff to improve performance, productivity, and job satisfaction.


• Work Scheduling: Organize work schedules and patterns in consultation with the Manager to ensure efficiency and safe working conditions.


• Driving: Safely drive a 3.5-ton van between various job sites.


• Documentation: Ensure all required paperwork is completed accurately, on time, and in compliance with standards.


• Communication: Maintain effective communication with the team, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

• Full UK Manual Driving Licence.


• Proven experience in a landscaping or grounds maintenance environment.


• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of individuals.


• Ability to build strong, collaborative working relationships with team members and clients.


• A good team player with strong leadership qualities.


• Reliable, punctual, and committed to delivering high-quality service.


• Must be willing and able to drive to various sites across London and make your way home afterward.
