We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Groundworker to join our client's team in Leicester. As a Groundworker, you will play a pivotal role in the construction and maintenance of a new project in Leicester, ensuring that groundwork is completed to the highest standards.

Your expertise will contribute to a range of tasks, including site preparation, excavation, and the laying of foundations.

You will work closely with other construction professionals, operating machinery and tools with precision while adhering to safety protocols. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of groundworks and construction methodologies, along with the ability to interpret technical plans and drawings.

Responsibilities

  • Excavate and prepare sites for various construction projects.
  • Lay foundations and install drainage systems.
  • Operate heavy machinery and tools safely.
  • Interpret and follow engineering drawings and plans.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations on-site.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in proper working order.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Groundworker or in a similar role
  • CSCS Card.
  • Knowledge of construction and groundworks methodologies
  • Ability to operate machinery and tools effectively.
  • Understanding of safety and environmental regulations
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in varying conditions.
