Company Aquarius Energy (AQE), an independently manged joint venture owned by Glencore and Tristar, is a global oil and gas midstream business with terminal assets and operations in Europe, Africa, the Middle-East, and the Americas. The group is managed out of offices in London (within the Glencore office), with local asset offices around the world, servicing its asset portfolio. Role AQE is looking to hire a proactive, self-motivated, and collaborative individual into the role of a Group Financial Accountant, based in London, reporting to the Group Head of Reporting. The role offers hybrid working (office based 3-4 days a week) with occasional travel. The role will oversee the financial reporting of multiple operating assets and holding companies in various locations providing broad exposure to the full scope of the business. The role holds key responsibility for both the group audit and preparation of financial statements, quarterly reviews, and reporting pack preparation, as well as managing the audit processes across the various businesses. The role requires close interaction with AQE management, shareholder support functions in London and the various assets across the world. Responsibilities Duties will include, but will not be limited to: Ownership of Group Consolidation and holdco accounts - monthly, quarterly, and annually Preparation of Group and Statutory holdco AFS Group and statutory audit management Support and manage Asset level audits and AFS preparation Management of the group's monthly reporting process with global asset teams, along with review of asset financial results Support the Head of Reporting with internal and external reporting, including monthly condensed financial reporting and management accounts Implement a comprehensive financial calendar to track critical deadlines, reporting dates, and compliance requirements Implementation and enhancement of group financial processes and controls Support the Compliance and Legal function in all Finance related matters Reconciliation of key balance sheet accounts Support the budgeting process Preparation of quarterly tax disclosures and monthly cashflow statements Accounts receivable and payable Shareholder interaction to support the business and shareholder requirements ERP implementation support M&A support Ad-hoc support as needed Experience (required): 3+ years' post qualification experience, with a minimum of 2+ years' experience working in a similar role ACA or CA (SA) qualified (or equivalent) Big 4 experience Proven track record of consolidation and preparing financial statements Strong IFRS technical knowledge HFM / consolidation systems knowledge Proven track record of using Microsoft office including Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint Experience (desirable): SAP S4 or NetSuite user experience beneficial Experience of working with various cultures across different countries Proven track record of reporting to senior stakeholders Experience in some of the jurisdictions in which AQE operates Experience supporting portfolio restructuring / M&A projects Skills: Ability to operate unsupervised Strong attention to detail and accuracy Superior organisational, communication and reporting skills with ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment Ability to multitask and handle multiple and changing priorities Solid problem-solving skills and the ability to exercise critical thinking Compliance and risk management culture #J-18808-Ljbffr
