Job Description We're looking for an experienced Group Financial Controller to join our team in our Richmond office, to oversee and manage the group financial department, provide insightful financial reports, and develop strategic initiatives based on comprehensive financial research. The role includes overseeing statutory reporting for subsidiary entities across all global operating companies and being accountable for group financial audits. Furthermore, this role will provide strategic support to the Chief Financial Officer and executive teams in making informed and sound financial business decisions. Key Responsibilities: Financial Oversight, Planning & Reporting Overseeing all group company accounts and financial statements, including statutory reporting oversight for subsidiary entities in international jurisdictions. Overseeing and managing cash flows. Overseeing and managing month-end close across the group. Analysing monthly and annual reports, financial forecasts, and reporting insights on trends, risks, and opportunities. Conducting financial research to support the development of effective finance business strategies. Collaborating with executive and senior leadership to formulate budgets and financial plans aligned with organisational and group goals. Overseeing and managing the financial department, ensuring efficient and accurate financial operations across various regions. Developing and delivering timely and accurate financial reports to senior management. Monitoring financial performance against budgets and forecasts, providing analysis and insights Group Audit & Statutory Compliance Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including internal and external auditors, to ensure a comprehensive approach to financial risk management. Providing necessary support and information during audit processes, ensuring smooth and efficient collaboration. Staying abreast of changes in financial regulations and standards, ensuring the organisation's and group's compliance aligns with practice standards. Identifying and assessing financial risks, propose, and implement risk mitigation strategies. Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and lead statutory reporting for subsidiary entities in international countries. Assisting in Company Secretarial matters. Knowledge and Practices & Continuous Improvement Developing, implement, and improve the practices, systems, and policies required for the effective and compliant delivery of financial services. Sharing the latest industry knowledge and relevant internal financial business practices across the group. Driving companywide awareness of financial policies and requirements to ensure compliance. Managing risks that could compromise the finance strategy and service delivery. Stakeholder Management Aligning with stakeholders on their expectations and adjust group financial practices accordingly. Drive stakeholder adoption of any changes that may affect finance service delivery. People Planning, recruiting, and managing team capacity to ensure the team is fully staffed and equipped with the resources and skillset required for team effectiveness. Coaching team members to continuously develop their capabilities, enabling improved performance and fostering a positive company culture. Managing employee performance in line with our values and principles. Key Skills and Experience: You'll be a professionally qualified Accountant, ideally with an MBA. You'll have demonstrable experience in a Group Financial Controller, Chief Accountant or Senior Accountant position in a global business. Experience gained in a technology business would be advantageous. You'll have experience leading and coaching a globally dispersed team and fostering a high performance culture. You'll possess a sound knowledge of statutory reporting, UK GAAP and IFRS You'll have the ability to travel internationally a few times per year.
