Job Title: Group Financial Controller

Reporting to: CEO

Salary: £70,000 - £80,000

Location: Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire (Head Office), with hybrid working.

We are seeking an experienced finance professional, who has worked in an owner-managed business, to join our dynamic team and play a pivotal role in contributing to our global business growth.

The Opportunity: As Group Financial Controller, you will have responsibility for supporting the UK and other global markets in operational decision-making, enhancing the finance and reporting system, and providing overall financial and treasury management information for the business. You will be a key member of the senior management, partnering closely with the Northern American Financial Controller and senior stakeholders on a global level.

What You'll Be Doing:


  • Provide strategic financial guidance, including prioritising EBIT and long-term value creation.
  • Provide a financial and risk lens on new business opportunities, and market entry to new jurisdictions.
  • Oversee the finance department and in region colleagues.
  • Support the senior management team with accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Efficiently manage global debt book and treasury to ensure liquidity for operational needs and strategic investments, across the global business.
  • Operationally lead the budgeting and global audit for the business and act as company secretary.

What We Are Looking For:


  • Fully qualified accountant – ACA, ACCA or CIMA
  • Experience in an owner managed business
  • Proven track record of leading a finance function and having full accountability
  • Experience in a sales-focused services environment or FMCG will be highly advantageous
  • Exceptional Microsoft Excel skills
  • Leadership skills and experience managing a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of integrity and dependability.
