Group Financial Controller

Hybrid role Role Overview As a Group Financial Controller at Uncapped, you will play a critical role in managing the financial health of our group. You will be the owner of Financial Reporting and controls across the group, establishing, monitoring, and enforcing financial policies and procedures, ensuring the group meets all its statutory, tax and compliance obligations. You will ensure clarity of performance across the business and ensure the group optimises its global structure. About Uncapped Founded in 2019, Uncapped is the fastest, most affordable way for growing online businesses to fund marketing and inventory. The company was born out of frustration with the limited financing options available for UK and European entrepreneurs to finance growth. Uncapped provides working capital loans to brands and retailers around the world, doing between 10m and 100m in turnover. Uncapped has raised VC funding from most notable investors including Lakestar, Mouro Capital, Global Founders Capital, White Star Capital, Seedcamp, and All Iron Ventures. What you will do Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports, engaging with the business to ensure clarity on performance. Review and optimise existing processes, procedures and tech stack to ready Uncapped for the future. Collaborate with external auditors to ensure proper compliance with all regulations. Optimise group tax, and ensure compliance and utilisation of available tax credits (Transfer pricing, R&D, Partial exemption, double tax etc). Analyse financial data to identify potential risks and opportunities Lead a small team, assisting in developing junior team members to step up to grow with Uncapped. Understand and adhere to financial regulations and legislation Who you are You have a professional accounting designation (CA, CPA, ACCA, CIMA) You have a bachelor's degree, ideally in finance, accounting, or a related field. You have proven experience in finance management, ideally within financial services You have strong knowledge of financial regulations and accounting processes - ideally covering financial instruments, group consolidation, share based payments etc. You have exposure to tax complexities associated with a global organisation. You have excellent analytical and decision-making skills You have strong leadership qualities and a team-oriented mindset You have the ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment What we offer At Uncapped, our people make us successful.
