Group Financial Controller

Our client, a PE backed business in Manchester are looking to appoint an experienced, technically strong Group Financial Controller to work alongside the Finance Director. This is a newly created role and the successful candidate will take full responsibility for managing the Audit, Financial Reporting, Statutory Accounts, Treasury and Board reporting. Location: Manchester (3 days in the office)
Salary: c.�75,000-�85,000.
Key responsibilities:
* Ownership of internal and external reporting requirements, including leading the external audit and managing relationships.
* Producing insightful MI to present to Board and SLT.
* Analysis of financial risk and controls to ensure robust finance processes are documented and managed effectively.
* Leading on taxation, ensuring accuracy and deadlines are met.
* Analysis of business performance and presenting information to the Board.
* Review of management accounts, providing detailed commercial insight and analysis.
* Managing the loan portfolio for the Group, including financing facilities and relationship with lenders.
* Leading the annual Group budget process.
* Overall management of cash, ensuring strong cost control.
* Integration of future acquisitions and changing models to support future investment decisions.
Requirements:
* Qualified ACA/ACCA / CIMA - with a strong technical accounting background.
* Experience of embedding Business Partnering models.
* Experience in a Private Equity backed business would be highly desirable.
* Experience of supporting and presenting information at Board level.
* Experience of taxation and advising Boards and Directors on potential tax treatments.
