Our client, a leading innovator in their sector, is seeking a highly skilled Group Financial Controller to join their dynamic and fast-paced organisation. Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:
Foster high morale and team spirit within the finance team. Provide direction, performance development, and conduct regular reviews for 3 direct reports and support wider team.
Year-End Close & Reporting:
Lead the year-end close and reporting process for the Group, overseeing tax provision, consolidation, balance sheet reconciliations, and reviewing analyses/entries prepared by the team.
Audit Management:
Project manage the FY23 audit to ensure adherence to strict deadlines.
Month-End Close:
Oversee the month-end close process, adhering to a five-day business close. Ensure accurate reporting of group management accounts and maintain balance sheet reconciliation reviews.
Tax Strategy:
Assist in optimising the Group's global tax strategy.
Corporate Projects:
Support the CFO on various corporate projects.
Financial Control:
Oversee the financial control environment, ensuring the evolution of control processes to deliver best practice and mitigate risks across key business processes.
Treasury Management:
Manage key treasury functions, including cash flow management and forecasting, forex risk management, and ensuring adequate reconciliation of bank accounts. Critically challenge assumptions in cash flow forecasts.
Credit Control:
Manage the Group Credit Control Manager to maintain KPIs for the debtor book.
Billing Accuracy:
Ensure accurate and timely billing across various service offerings by effectively managing the Group Billing Manager.
Qualifications and Experience:
Proven experience in a similar role within a fast-paced environment with multiple systems and revenue streams.
Successful track record of managing and leading a remote team of seven.
Extensive experience managing Group audits with tight deadlines, including collaborating with outsourced tax teams and internally managed financial reporting.
Strong experience managing processes across multiple jurisdictions and cultures.
Ability to improve processes and cash flow.
Qualified CIMA / ACCA / ACA / CA / CPA.
