Hybrid/Remote – South/Midlands/London
Our client is a well-funded, PE backed buy and build consolidator, with ambitions to grow to £100m+ T/o. Plans are progressing swiftly, with some completed and acquisitions plus a strong pipeline. Reporting to the Group CFO, this is an exciting opportunity for the right person to join an ambitious, fast-growing group. With the rapid growth, the central finance function is still in its infancy giving the incoming GFC considerable input into the shape of the finance function. You develop the controls and reporting across the group. This is an ideal position to gain wider commercial PE exposure and truly contribute to a strategically focused growth plan having immediate M&A exposure. This is a hybrid role with homeworking - your location can be flexible as long as there is a willingness to travel to sites occasionally. You will be expected to attend meetings in the London office occasionally.
Responsibilities:
Build financial controls and processes and implementation of improved financial systems and processes
Responsibility for Group reporting, including Monthly Board packs and developing the Group reporting packs and consolidations
Production of annual Consolidated Financial Statements, liaising closely with the auditors
Group Cashflow forecasting – managing the group budgeting and forecasting
Responsibility for Tax returns (VAT, CT and MTD) though supported from hub and outsourced parties
Ensuring timely and accurate production of monthly Management Accounts and Financial KPI’s.
Providing analysis of P&L identifying cost reduction opportunities
Improving reporting timelines to meet the requirements of the Private Equity investors of weekly/monthly MI as required
Managing covenant and cashflow reporting
Regulatory reporting
Responsibility for M&A transaction accounting and where required, support for acquisitions to include Due Diligence, risk identification, integration planning and implementation through to financial control post deal.
Supporting the exit longer term, including data room, due diligence
The Candidate:
You will be a fully qualified accountant, ideally with some Acquisition and integration experience
Looking to gain experience of working within a PE backed organisation is key
Ability to build a “first in class” finance function –improving the quality and timeliness of financial reporting
Desire to implement new financial systems and processes
Personal qualities must include enthusiasm, adaptability, tenacity, self-starter and an absolute commitment to achieve objectives and meet deadlines in a demanding environment
