The HDD Specialist role comes with a salary up to �65,000, accommodation and paid travel.

Responsibilities and duties
As the HDD specialist you will:

  • Operate and manage HDD equipment, with a focus on rigs up to 20 tons.
  • Conduct directional drilling operations in diverse ground conditions, including soft soil, hard surfaces, and rock.
  • Pull HDPE or steel pipes while working with various manufacturer equipment (e.g., Vermeer, Ditch Witch, American Auger, Prime).
  • Set up and maintain drill profiles, understanding the nuances of mud requirements for effective drilling and steering.
  • Interface with clients as needed, presenting a professional and client-facing approach.
  • Adhere strictly to health and safety protocols, conducting regular equipment checks, risk assessments, and following all safety regulations on-site.
  • Any other duties as required

Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

  • A valid UK driver's license (HGV preferred).
  • SSSTS or similar certifications (desirable).
  • Proven experience handling directional drilling rigs up to 20 tons. 3-5 years.
  • Versatility with different manufacturer equipment and operating systems.
