We are currently recruiting for a talented, experienced, Head Chef to join the kitchen brigade at this fantastic, independently owned group of dining, gastro pubs based in Islington. With a real focus on seasonal produce and a passion for outstanding standards and service. This is an award wining operator, with every pub being unique, we are looking for an ambitious Head Chef with experience of cooking to a 2 Rosette standard to lead the team, drive the business and maintain standards. They receive whole carcasses of rare and native breeds and butcher our meat on site and work closely with the best farms in the UK.

T he Place

Our client is a beautiful historic pub in Islington with a fantastic all day dining menu, private dining room and a large garden. They are passionate about food and their menu is focused on seasonality and tradition. They also boast a wide selection of British & European lagers, beers, real ales and ciders, and their wine list was developed by a leading wine expert to perfectly complement their food offering. They receive whole carcasses of rare and native breeds and butcher our meat on site

The Person

The ideal Head Chef will have the following:
- Solid experience in a fresh food kitchen
- Butchery skill essential
- 3 years experience in a similar kitchen with 2-3 Rosette level as Head Chef
-A proven track record of running a professional kitchen including managing budgets, GPs and 5* Food Hygiene
- Can do attitude & team player
- Eager to develop seasonal menus with full autonomy
- Team player with excellent communication skills
- Confidence to leading a team in a busy service
- A true passion for food and have the enthusiasm to lead and develop your team
