Head Chef (Term Time)

Job title: Head chef (Term Time Only)
Location: school
Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday during school term time - no evening or weekend work. (around 23,300 a year)

There is the possibility of additional work during school holiday periods.
Start date would be in September and interview day would be the 29th of August.

The ideal candidate for this role would be someone with a proven track record of managing high-volume cooking operations, particularly in an educational setting. The ability to lead a small team to deliver 300 fresh meals daily is crucial.
Experience in menu planning and execution, especially with a focus on fresh ingredients and a rotating menu, will be highly valued. This role requires a dynamic individual who can maintain high standards of culinary excellence and kitchen efficiency.

Responsible for:
*Fresh food dishes with a focus on long term better eating habits
*Stock ordering, site financials and budgetary responsibility.

*Staff training, development and learning
*Maintain a clean kitchen whilst adhering to health & safety standards and following safety guidance for all equipment
*Adhere to all food hygiene & safety standards
*Assist the School Manager with menu selection and design
*Compliance to all school policies and procedures
