Exciting opportunity for Head chef to join the team at Sandfields Care Home in Cheltenham
£20.70 per hour plus excellent benefits
37.5 hours per week

You will get the chance to be involved in all aspects of the kitchen management; including motivating and leading the team, participating in breakfast lunch and dinner time services, ensuring food standards are kept high, ordering and supplier liaison, training and coaching more junior staff, potential for putting your ideas forward for the menu as well as ensuring all HACCAP and COSHH requirements.
NVQ level 2 and 3 cookery levels would be preferred but experience in similar roles in the care, hotel /restaurant industry or event catering but certainly working with fresh food.
If you have experience with dietary needs with clients and customers this would be a big advantage. You must be personable and a good communicator as a crucial part of the role will involve your liaison with the residents. You will need to show drive, ambition and an ability to motivate and nurture talent within the team.

Our purpose-built care and nursing home in Cheltenham, on St Georges Road, provides full time residential and nursing care, and short term respite care, for up to 90 older people.
