Location: Orford, Suffolk OTE: Up to £47,000 per annum, including tronc and bonus payments. Base Salary £36,000

Are you an experienced and passionate Head Chef looking for an exciting seasonal project? If so, our charming pub in Orford could be your next great adventure! We are seeking a Head Chef to assist in the running of our beautiful quayside pub and to lead the kitchen team during the busy summer holidays, school breaks, and bank holidays. This role is perfect for a seasoned professional or a management/chef couple looking for a hands-on project that offers both challenges and rewards.
Key Responsibilities: Team Leadership: Lead, inspire, and manage the kitchen team, ensuring high morale and consistent quality in every dish.
Menu Development: Create and develop seasonal menus that reflect local ingredients and trends, delighting our diverse clientele alongside a small core menu.
Seasonal Operations: Handle the unique challenges of a seasonal business, from staffing to inventory management, ensuring smooth operations during peak periods.
Self-Starter: Take initiative in all aspects of kitchen management, from maintaining high hygiene standards to optimizing kitchen efficiency.
Collaboration: Work closely with management to ensure the pub runs seamlessly, delivering exceptional guest experiences.
What We Offer: Competitive Salary: Up to £36,000 per year

Requirements: Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar leadership role within a seasonal or high-volume environment.
Strong skills in team management, menu development, and operational efficiency.
A self-starter attitude with the ability to work independently and lead by example.
Experience in handling the unique demands of seasonal work, including flexibility in working hours during peak periods.
A passion for delivering exceptional food and dining experiences.
