Salary: Up to £52,000 per annum
Are you an experienced and talented Head Chef with a passion for fine dining and a strong background in banqueting? We are seeking a hands-on, dynamic Head Chef to lead the kitchen team and take the culinary offerings to the next level.
About the Role:
As Head Chef, you will be responsible for the overall management and operation of the kitchen, ensuring high-quality food preparation, menu development, and effective control over kitchen operations. You will have a strong focus on maintaining consistency, leading by example, and developing a motivated, skilled kitchen team. Your expertise in fine dining and banqueting will be key to delivering an exceptional culinary experience for both small and large events.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring food quality and consistency at all times
Lead the creation and development of innovative, seasonal menus
Control food costs, manage stock, and ensure the profitability of the kitchen through efficient GP control
Provide hands-on leadership, guiding, mentoring, and training a team of chefs
Work collaboratively with front-of-house teams to deliver exceptional dining experiences for guests
Ensure all health, safety, and hygiene standards are met in the kitchen
Manage banqueting operations and special events, ensuring seamless execution
Foster a positive and creative kitchen environment that encourages continuous learning and improvement
Ideal Candidate:
Proven experience in a Head Chef or senior kitchen role, with accolades or a fine dining background
Strong understanding of banqueting operations and high-volume food production
Hands-on leader with excellent kitchen management and team-building skills
Proficient in menu development, cost control, and kitchen operations
Passionate about food quality, creativity, and consistency
Strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure
