In line with our strategic growth plans, we're on the lookout for an experienced Head of Account Management to lead our dedicated team of account managers.
Your Role:
The Head of Account Management is a key leadership position within our firm, responsible for overseeing our account management team and driving the strategy behind our post-sales support services. This role focuses on nurturing client relationships, enhancing customer retention, and driving sales growth. Your guidance will ensure that both the team and our customers navigate the energy procurement journey effectively, achieving sustainability and cost-saving objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership: Direct leadership and development of the account management team to foster high performance and career progression.
Account Strategy: Manage a portfolio of key accounts, applying strategic expertise to deepen and expand these relationships.
Operational Management: Utilize CRM systems for effective record management, account development, and performance analytics, ensuring operational efficiency.
Sales Growth: Work closely with Business Development Managers to seek new opportunities and lead efforts to upsell and cross-sell to existing clients.
Performance Analysis: Monitor sales targets and team performance, aligning efforts with the company’s strategic goals.
Client Relations: Maintain regular, impactful engagement with clients and the sales team, promoting our unique procurement innovations.
About You:
Energy Sector Expertise: You have at least 7 years of work experience within the UK energy markets, ideally gained at an energy consultancy/broker or an energy supplier. This experience is essential, as it equips you with the in-depth knowledge and understanding required to excel in this role.
Leadership Qualities: Proven experience in managing teams, particularly within the energy sector, demonstrating your capability to lead, motivate, and develop professionals.
Communication Skills: Exceptional ability to communicate complex energy concepts clearly and concisely to a variety of stakeholders.
Organisational Mastery: Strong organisational skills, with a proven track record of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Collaborative Spirit: A team-oriented approach, open to sharing ideas and valuing the input of colleagues.
Mobility: Willingness to travel across the UK to meet with clients and stakeholders, enhancing relationships and business opportunities.
