Job Title: Head of Asset Management

Reports to: Director of Surveying Services

Location: London

Salary: £60,000 - £70,000, depending on skills and experience

Job type: Full Time, Permanent

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am – 5.30pm, 37.5 hours per week Flexible hours offered

The Company:

Rand Associates provides surveying services, consultancy, and software products to the social housing sector. Our clients include housing associations, local authorities, building contractors and consultants.

This role is part of the continued growth and will involve overseeing all asset management activities across the organisation.

The role:

Throughout our projects with social housing landlords, we are involved many aspects of asset management including, but limited to, stock condition survey and EPC projects, asset management and other strategies, programming of works and supervision of works.

1. To be Rand Associates Asset Management Champion and take the initiative in developing Rand Associates Asset Management offering.

2. To work closely with Project Managers to help provide appropriate steer and guidance on stock condition and EPC projects.

3. Offer clients advice on matters related to Asset Management, which could include surveying requirements, funding matters and asset appraisal.

4. To develop relationships with clients and strategic partners.

5. Assist clients with the development of Asset Management strategies, programmes of works and similar

6. Oversee and be actively involved in the reporting of stock condition surveys and other asset management activities.

7. To provide regular board reports on top level progress across asset management activities

8. To be involved in business development, and generating workload as appropriate

9. To head up the recruitment of new staff and assist in the retraining of existing staff as required

10. To attend internal and external meetings as required, including presentations.

11. Attendance at conferences and exhibitions to help promote Rands services and products, including delivering presentations where required.

12. To use Microsoft Office software, such as Word and Excel as required to fulfil the commitments of the role, as well as bespoke software where required.

13. To undergo training as required to satisfy the requirements of the role, including attendance at staff development days, and external training courses where required.

The Candidate:

You will be a pivotal member of the team coordinating all asset management activities throughout the organisation. You will need to maintain excellent communications, in particular with Rand Associates’ Project Managers, Directors and client representatives. Essential Requirements

• 5-10 years of experience in asset management related roles within social housing

• Proven experience in analysing, understanding, and capturing requirements.

• Ability to lead meetings and maintain implementation/upgrade progress plans.

• Strong management skills

• Strong presentation skills, both in small and large group settings.

Desirable Skills

• Experience in using/developing asset management software

• Agile project management practices.

Summary of terms:

Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 depending on skills and experience

Hours: 37.5 per week, flexible hours offered

Holidays: 26 days annual leave plus bank holidays

Probationary period: 6 months

Notice period: Three months (one week during probation period)
