The Trust assists young people from disadvantaged communities and those confronting significant adversity by helping them develop the confidence and skills needed to live, learn, and earn.As part of a capable and modern digital, data, and technology function, The Business Technology team is responsible for the design, development and operations of critical technology services that enable staff and volunteers to do their jobs effectively, including the Young Person CRM, Fundraising CRM and HR and Finance systems.As part of a broader and continued transformation programme led by a highly capable Chief Technology Officer (CTO), the Head of Business Technology will have responsibility for leading the transformation of our product suite so that our services are as efficient and effective as possible. This will enable the organisation to focus on the delivery of services to young people, the raising of vital additional funds and the efficient delivery of support services.As an experienced technology professional, you will be responsible for the following:Strategic Planning: Define a technology strategy and roadmap, incorporating best practices and good technology governanceStakeholder Management: Engage and manage relationships with highly capable stakeholders at a senior levelTechnology Oversight: Maintain broad awareness of enterprise technology and industry trends, overseeing a complex set of systems including CRM, database, and legacy technologyProgramme Management: Run technology programmes, including migrations and upgrades Team Leadership: Lead and motivate an operational technology team, with a hands-on approach and the ability to lead by exampleBudget Management: Oversee and manage multi-million-pound budgets, including various critical transformation programmesExecutive Collaboration: Work alongside and deputize for the CTO at Board level, including attending high profile networking opportunities and eventsThe successful candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:Strong technical skills and a background in architecture or systems managementComprehensive understanding of business application design and development processesExperience in transformation, change management, and running technology programmes (including migrations and upgrades)Skilled in defining technology strategies and roadmaps with broad awareness of enterprise technology and industry trendsCapability to build confidence and maturity around security and data governance Strong leadership and team management skills, with proven stakeholder management at a senior level and the ability to be hands-on when neededStrong understanding of end-to-end delivery processes, including assurance and compliance ensuring best practices throughoutAbility to translate complex technical information for non-technical stakeholders and manage, negotiate, and build strong relationships with suppliers and vendorsEnergetic, engaging, and able to work at a fast paceExperience with CRM systems essential - MS Dynamics, Oracle Service Cloud, Finance, and HR systems would be beneficial This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in the technology transformation of one of the nation's most famous and well-regarded charitable organisations.
