Location: Walsall, West Midlands (with some travel to London) OR Lambeth, London (with some travel to Walsall). Able to get to both locations. Hybrid working.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Head of Compliance to join our Asset Management Team. In this role, you will take strategic and operational responsibility for ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory obligations. You will ensure that the Statutory Compliance Policy is translated into objectives and key performance indicators and have mechanisms in place to reporting to all levels of the organisation.
The ideal candidate will have a successful track record in delivering a wide range of cyclical servicing contracts with performance tolerances, on time, to the desired quality and budget. You will have extensive knowledge and experience of building safety and compliance regulations and be able to demonstrate experience of leadership and management at a senior level in a resident focused environment. Moreover, strong written verbal communication, interpersonal and prioritisation skills, proficiency in report writing, negotiation acumen, analytical aptitude, commercial understanding, problem-solving capabilities and IT proficiency are qualities we seek.
Job Purpose
Strategic and operational responsibility for ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory obligations for all areas of Compliance services. (Domestic and Commercial).
Ensure that the Statutory Compliance Policy (and associated procedures) are translated into objectives and key performance indicators with a mechanism in place for reporting at Board, management and governance levels.
Accountability for the delivery of these objectives and key performance indicators as agreed with the Executive Director of Asset Management and Regeneration.
Assist the Executive Leadership Team with financial planning and budget setting for statutory compliance requirements, associated maintenance and support services.
Ensure that all statutory compliance obligations provided to customers and stakeholders across the Group are consistent with up to date legislation, health and safety and best practice and innovation in service delivery.
Procurement and delivery of statutory compliance and specialist maintenance contracts, ensuring economies of scale and value for money across the group is maximised.
Lead the development and delivery of cyclical, repair and servicing programmes of work, and effective facilities management for the Group.
Develop a highly competent and engaged team which delivers a broad range of services. Maximise the contribution of this team and others through effective leadership and training.
Accountable for the identification of and delivery of training and Value for Money (VFM) in the statutory compliance system of the business.
Form and maintain key relationships with internal and external stakeholders ensuring that high quality reporting and communications are provided when required.
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through Tenant Satisfaction Measures.
