Head of Pre-Contracts

�100,000 to �110,000 depending on experience

Based 2/3 days in the nearest office

Our client, a leading telecoms and utilities company, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Pre-Contracts to join their team on a contract basis. This pivotal role involves maintaining, negotiating, and awarding contracts to the highest standards.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead tender programs, executive negotiations, and pricing/cost reviews.


• Ensure seamless service delivery by managing multifunctional groups.


• Maintain compliance with current industry regulations and company policies.


• Work closely with the team to develop and implement new contracting methods.


• Participate in strategy evolution for rollout plans and manage paused location restarts.


• Ensure BDUK contracting remains on schedule and identify opportunities for cost/efficiency improvements.


• Communicate effectively with clients, explaining work performed and providing advice on contracts.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in senior roles involving contract and commercial management.


• Degree level education in commercial/contract/project management or equivalent, or substantial professional experience.


• Strong experience in telecoms or utilities industry.


• Proven track record in managing tender programs, executive negotiations, and pricing/cost reviews.


• Excellent upward and peer management skills with the ability to deal with multifunctional groups.


• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.


• Excellent communication and customer service skills.


• Willingness to travel as required and work flexible hours.
