Head of Corporate Finance - (Maternity Cover) Head of Corporate Finance - (Maternity Cover) We currently have a requirement for a Head of Corporate Finance to work within this financial services company, which are based in London. You will have gained 10+ years' experience within an external audit/corporate finance environment. Be a qualified accountant and able to Speak French Fluently. Main Responsibilities:- Assisting the CFO in leading the Corporate Finance Department. Monthly review of management accounts, including communication of accounts, KPI's, and variance explanations to the controlling shareholder. Drafting Management's assessments of key accounting areas such as Impairment Analysis, and Collectability of Receivables. Lead the quarterly forecasting process, explaining key variances to shareholders. Monthly preparation and review of management accounts of Collateralised Loan Obligations. Lead the quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting exercises. Review of Interim and Year-End preparation of statutory accounts and financial statements Review of Quarterly regulatory reporting to both UK and French Regulators. Interacting with UK & other European tax advisers for the preparation and submission of VAT and Corporate Income Tax returns. Provide support to management regarding Budget to Actual variances and financial implications of key decisions. Ensure that Interim and Year End audits are on track and acting as the primary point of escalation Ensure that the system of peer review implemented amongst corporate accountants is operating Skills & Experience Knowledge of Accounting/Corporate Finance/Taxation/HR of a France-based business Worked within financial services/asset management Experience in audit and IFRS Experience in Forecasting/Budgeting Managing a small team.
