Overview
Everest People Solutions are recruiting for a Head of Learning and Development for a large food manufacturing site in Warwickshire. As Head of Learning and Development, you will lead an innovative L&D agenda. This role is crucial for ensuring the team produces high-quality products while maintaining safety and upholding brand standards. As the successful candidate you will have a strong background in learning and development within the manufacturing sector.
Key Duties & Responsibilities for the Head of Learning and Development
- Identify training needs and develop strategic plans to meet business goals.
- Design and implement training programs for production teams, emphasising food safety, quality standards, equipment operation, and process optimization.
- Lead, mentor, and build a high-performing L&D team.
- Facilitate regular training sessions and workshops to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Develop and update training materials to ensure they remain current and relevant.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make improvements as needed.
- Work with cross-functional teams to improve processes and increase efficiency.
- Maintain detailed records of training activities and ensure compliance documentation is accurate.
- Act as a training expert, providing guidance and fostering continuous improvement.
Requirements for the Head of Learning and Development
- Previous experience working exclusively in a learning and development role is essential.
- Background in food manufacturing is desirable, other Manufacturing backgrounds will be considered.
- Proven ability to lead, inspire, motivate, and build a high-performing team.
- Strong ability to deliver training at all levels.
- Demonstrated experience in building and implementing L&D plans.
- Proficiency in using a wide range of delivery methods effectively.
- Highly organised, with the ability to plan and prioritise a busy workload.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying complex information clearly and concisely.
- Ability to engage and interact effectively at all levels.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite and learning systems for content development and delivery.
- CIPD Level 3 qualification in Learning and Development Practice is desirable.
